Enable Debug Logging (Parcel)

To enable Log4j debug logging for PepAgent fetchers (Kafka, HBase, and so on) in Parcel installations, use Cloudera Manager to select the Enable PepAgent Debug Logging parameter. With debugging enabled, debug messages are output to the PepAgent log file: /var/log/pepperdata/pepagent/pepagent.log (unless you have customized the location to be other than /var/log/pepperdata/).

Procedure

1. In Cloudera Manager, locate the Enable PepAgent Debug Logging parameter, and select it.

2. Restart the Pepperdata services.

   In Cloudera Manager, select the Restart action for the Pepperdata service.
