Choose Your Memory Swapping and Mitigation Procedure

There are several “flavors” of the configuration procedures in the Administrator’s Guide. Choose the procedure for your environment and installation framework.

• Parcel. Memory Swapping and Mitigation (Parcel)—For configuring a Cloudera Manager-managed cluster, with Pepperdata installed from a Parcel.

• Cloud. Memory Swapping and Mitigation (Cloud)—For configuring a cluster in a Hadoop as a Service environment, such as Amazon EMR or Google Dataproc.

• RPM/DEB. Memory Swapping and Mitigation (RPM/DEB)—For configuring a cluster on any Hadoop distro, with Pepperdata installed from an RPM or DEB package.
